Portugal vs Scotland Predictions
Scotland were promoted to League A from the last campaign, but given their recent run of form, they are going to struggle big time in their group which consists of Portugal, Poland and Croatia. They’ve already tasted defeat at home to Poland, with the away side scoring a 97th minute penalty to steal the spoils. As they travel to Portugal this weekend, I think they’ll struggle, and I think Portugal will score more than two goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal in his sides 1-2 victory over Croatia during the week, and I’m backing him to get at least his 901st against Scotland here. Scotland have conceded 31 goals in their last 13 games, and Ronaldo will definitely have chances here.

Billy Gilmour will try to impose his positive passing style in the middle of the park, but their midfield was left overrun several times against Poland on Thursday, and should that happen again Gilmour might have to make one or two tactical files as Portugal dart at his sides defence. We’re also backing Anthony Ralston to be carded here. The Celtic full-back is a very aggressive player, and picked up one booking in his three appearances at EURO 2024. He will be in for a difficult 90 minutes and I think he is good odds to see yellow here.
