Leeds United welcome title-chasing Man City to Elland Road in the evening kick-off this Saturday. City are five points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
Leeds have had a pretty poor season and find themselves in 15th place after 27 games, just six points above the relegation zone on 31 points.
City will be hopeful of chasing down Arsenal and a win this weekend would do them no harm in doing so. With a game in hand over the league leaders, they’re in a strong position as we reach the business end of the season.
Leeds United vs Man City Bet Builder Tip
Leeds vs Man City Predictions
- Man City to win (13/20)
- Erling Haaland over 1.5 shots on target (4/5)
- Antoine Semenyo over 0.5 shots on target (13/20)
- Ethan Ampadu to be booked (5/2)
Leeds vs Man City Predictions
I think Man City are rightly strong favourites to win away to Leeds on Saturday evening. 13/20 isn’t the greatest of odds, but I can’t see past a victory for Pep Guardiola’s side. They have won seven of their last 10 in all competitions, with five wins in their last five, meaning they’re finding their best form at the right time. Leeds have only lost two in their last 10, but have drawn five of those, winning three. City were 3-2 victors the last time these two met back in November, and I expect a similar outcome this weekend.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Erling Haaland over 1.5 shots on target @ 4/5
Man City striker Erling Haaland has bagged 29 goals in all competitions this season, with 22 in the Premier League and seven in the Champions League. Those 22 goals leaves him as the league’s top scorer, ahead of Brentford’s Igor Thiago who has bagged 17. That already matches his tally of 22 in the league last season, but there’s no doubt he will be looking to better that throughout the rest of the campaign. He has had 96 shots, with 46 on target, giving him an average not far shy of two shots on target per game.
Antoine Semenyo over 0.5 shots on target (13/20)
Former Bournemouth man Antoine Semenyo is the second player I’m backing for shots on target here, and I think he will have a minimum of one. He has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, with Bournemouth and with City, and has bagged four for City since joining in January. He has had 34 shots on target in 26 league appearances, giving him an average well above one per game, and I think he will have at least one here.
ALTERNATIVE BET – Antoine Semenyo to score @ 7/4
7/4 is decent odds for Semenyo to get on the scoresheet here. He last bagged in a 3-0 victory over Fulham just over two weeks ago. Taking him to score instead of having a shot on target increases the odds of this bet to 20/1 with Bet MGM.
Ethan Ampadu to be booked (5/2)
Ethan Ampadu is the player I’m backing to be carded in this fixture. The midfielder has picked up seven yellow cards in the Premier League this season, making a total of 31 fouls in 24 appearances. That gives him an average of more than one foul per game, and coming up against a very strong City side here, I think he will be forced to foul a couple of times at least. 5/2 is good odds for him to pick up his eighth card of the season.
