Man City vs Chelsea Predictions

I’m going for Man City to come away from this one with all three points. They haven’t lost a league game since the 21^st of December, a 2-1 loss against Aston Villa, and have climbed to fifth in the table. They come into this one looking to leapfrog Chelsea into fourth place, and they’ll be right up for it. They’ll be keen to get back to winning ways after the PSG defeat on Wednesday night, and I think they’ll do that here against a Chelsea side who haven’t beaten City in almost four years, with their last victory at the Etihad coming in May 2021. Erling Haaland has had yet another impressive season in terms of goals. The prolific striker has bagged 23 goals in 29 matches in all competitions – 17 in the Premier League and six in the Champions League, including one in the 4-2 defeat to PSG on Wednesday night. We’ve gave ourselves a buffer by taking him to score or assist here, and I think there’s a great chance he will add to his impressive numbers here. Cole Palmer is Chelsea’s star boy and has an impressive goal tally across this season and last. This season, he has 14 goals and six assists in 22 league matches, following a good return of 22 goals and 11 assists in the league last season. In his 22 appearances this season, he has 34 shots on target, an average of over 1.5 per game, and I think he will have at least one shot on target in this one. We’ve gone for Malo Gusto to be carded here. The defender has made 18 league appearances for Chelsea so far this season, being carded three times. He has made 13 fouls in that time, an average not far shy of one per game. He will be in for a torrid time against City’s front line in this one, and I think he could make a number of fouls and is good odds for a yellow card.
