William Hill TV is one of the best free live streaming services available from a UK bookmaker. All you need is a William Hill account to watch live horse racing, greyhound racing and a wide range of other sports – and for most events it costs nothing beyond the account itself.
This guide explains how William Hill TV works, how to access it, which races are covered and what the difference is between the two streaming services on offer.
William Hill TV – Two Services Explained
William Hill actually offers two separate streaming products, which can cause confusion. Here is the difference:
| Service | Cost | What you can watch |
|---|---|---|
| Betting TV | Free – account only | Selected UK horse racing, US racing, UK greyhounds |
| Bet & Watch | £1 bet per race (horse racing) / active balance (other sports) | All other UK and Irish racing, football, tennis, basketball, rugby, greyhound, hockey and more |
Betting TV is the free channel. You just need a William Hill account – no deposit, no bet required. It shows selected UK racecourses, US horse racing and UK greyhound races. On desktop, look for the video player above your bet slip. On the horse racing page, qualifying races show a “Free on Betting TV” label.
Bet & Watch is the premium streaming service. For horse racing, you need to place a minimum £1 bet on the race you want to watch. For all other sports, you just need a positive account balance or a bet placed in the last 24 hours.

Things to Know About William Hill TV
Streaming delay. William Hill live streams typically run 10 to 30 seconds behind the live action, depending on your internet speed and device. This is standard across most bookmakers, but it is important to bear in mind if you are placing in-play bets – your stream may not reflect what is happening in real time.
UK and Ireland only. The William Hill streaming service is only available to customers in the UK and Ireland. Streams are not accessible from outside these regions.
Cashing out. If you fully cash out a qualifying bet, you lose access to the stream for that race. Partial cash-outs allow continued access.
