Goodwood is the meeting that matters. Day two serves up seven races, with ITV live for the first five from 13:50 to 16:10 and Racing TV covering the closing two. The card is headlined by the Sussex Stakes at 16:10 — Goodwood’s championship mile, the “Duel on the Downs” — with two Group 3s in support: the Oak Tree Stakes for the fillies and mares and the Molecomb Stakes, a red-hot sprint for the season’s fastest two-year-olds.
The two closing handicaps are the each-way puzzles of the day: the Charlton Handicap (17:00) has a full field of 28 and the World Pool Handicap (17:40) has 20, so both pay extended each-way places.
