Both Teams to Score – 4/5 with Bet365.
Fulham have had a nightmare start to their Premier League campaign. Their leaky defence has already shipped ten goals in three games, including three against Aston Villa last time out.
Brentford narrowly missed out on promotion after losing to Fulham in the Play-Off Final last season but can take a measure of revenge here. The Bees have the opportunity to progress to the last eight against a Fulham side likely to see plenty of rotation.
This competition isn’t the number one priority for either side but expect Brentford to have a real go against their Premier League opposition.
Keinan Davis Anytime Scorer – 7/4 with Bet365.
As mentioned above, Aston Villa won 3-0 in their most recent game. Back-to-back wins in the Premier League will have boosted the Villains confidence ahead of a winnable game against Stoke.
Keinan Davis hasn’t figured much in the league but should get an opportunity here. The English forward was heavily involved at the end of last season and is likely to lead the line against the Potters. Ross Barkley may well play his first minutes for Villa and his creativity will only boost Davis’ goalscoring opportunities.
Eddie Nketiah Anytime Scorer – 21/20 with Paddy Power.
Arsenal return to Anfield for the second time this week after losing 3-1 on Monday in the Premier League. This is set to be a very different game with both sides likely to rotate heavily. Jurgen Klopp has shown in the past that he is happy to field an XI consisting of fringe players in the League Cup.
The Gunners are likely to rest players too, giving Eddie Nketiah the chance to start upfront. The young English forward has already scored in the league this season has generally taken his chances when featuring. This fixture ended 5-5 last season and a rotated Liverpool backline should be more accommodating, allowing Nketiah the chance to score.
