Paraguay pulled off a huge shock as they dumped Germany out on penalties in the last round, but they face an even bigger task here as they take on favourites France. You can get France to win the World Cup at odds of 15/8 with bet365.
The French have had a fantastic tournament so far, and have been a joy to watch. They defeated Sweden comfortably last time out, with two goals from Kylian Mbappé and one from Bradley Barcola giving them a 3-0 win to send Sweden home.
Paraguay were victorious against Germany after a 1-1 draw in normal time to take it to extra-time and then penalties, where they won the shootout 4-3.
Kick-off is 10pm UK on Saturday 4 July at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, live on ITV1 and ITVX.

Over 2.5 France Goals @ 1/1
France scored three last time out against Sweden, who are a better side than Paraguay on paper, and I think they’ll put on a similar showing here against the Paraguayans. In the group stages, they scored 10 goals in three matches, with over 2.5 in each of them. That means this selection has landed in each of their fixtures so far at this World Cup, and odds of evens is excellent value for this selection to land for the fifth game in a row on Saturday.
Kylian Mbappé to Score @ 8/13
Kylian Mbappé is the joint top goal scorer at the World Cup with Lionel Messi, having bagged six goals in his four appearances. He’s playing like a man on a mission, and I think he will have a good number of chances to add to his tally in this one. He scored two last time out against Sweden, two against Iraq and two against Senegal. Paraguay will be up against it in this one, and I think Mbappe has a great chance of scoring at least one here.
Michael Olise Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 1/3
France winger Michael Olise has been tormenting defenders throughout the competition so far, and has five assists to his name in four outings. He’s yet to score; however, he has had a total of 14 shots, an average of more than three shots per game. Of those 14, five of them have been on target, an average of more than one shot on target per game. He also had 50 shots on target in 32 league matches last season in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich. He’s in brilliant form, and I think taking him to have over 0.5 shots on target is a very safe bet.
Adrian Cubas to be Booked @ 5/2
Paraguay’s defensive midfielder Adrian Cubas has been carded once in his four World Cup appearances so far, coming against Germany last time out. That was their toughest game so far, and he faced difficult midfield opponents. It’ll be even harder here, as he comes up against the likes of Olise, Dembele, Doue and Barcola. I think those players will draw at least a couple of fouls out of him in this one, and odds of 5/2 are very good for him to be carded against France.
Alternative Bet — Mbappé to Score 2+ at 3/1
Odds of 3/1 is fantastic value for Kylian Mbappe to score two or more in this one. With three braces in four games, he’s in excellent goalscoring form, and I think there’s a great chance he will get a couple again here.
