Crystal Palace vs Everton Predictions
I mentioned Everton’s recent resurgence and I think they’ll continue here with a win away from home. They came from 1-2 down to rescue a draw in the 98th minute against City rivals Liverpool during the week, in the last ever Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park before they move to a new stadium. Before that, they won three league games on the bounce against Spurs, Brighton and Leicester City. Palace beat Man United in their last league match but were beaten by Brentford the week before. I think the Toffees will come out on top here.
Beto was on the scoresheet in the draw with Liverpool, opening the scoring after just 11 minutes. He scored two in their previous league match against Leicester, making it three in two league matches. He now has four for the season in his 16 league appearances, also bagging one in the Carabao Cup in two appearances. He will be at the heart of Everton’s attack here and I think they’ll create plenty of chances, so there’s a good chance he will score or assist here.
We’ve gone for two players to be carded, taking this bet builder to a massive 95/1 with Bet365. Jefferson Lerma and Idrissa Gueye are both great odds to be booked in this one. Lerma has been carded five times this season, four times in the league and once in the Carabao Cup. He’s made 21 fouls in 19 league appearances, giving him an average of over one per game. Gueye has picked up five cards this season, all coming in the Premier League in his 23 appearances. He has made 34 fouls, giving him an average just shy of 1.5 fouls per game. Both players are likely to foul here and I think there’s a great chance they’ll both be carded.
