Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace is the Sunday afternoon Premier League fixture where the Cherries can extend their 15-match unbeaten run and chase a top-six finish — and it’s the basis for a 12/1 bet builder combining Bournemouth’s home form with the goalscoring patterns of both teams plus Jefferson Lerma’s disciplinary record.
Andoni Iraola’s seventh-placed Bournemouth host Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium with European football still mathematically possible. Here’s the full preview and the bet builder tips.
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tips
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace Match Preview
Bournemouth are seventh in the league, just a point behind Brighton in sixth. They’ll be dreaming of a top six finish, and they’ve got a good opportunity to make ground on their rivals this weekend, as they welcome Crystal Palace.
The Cherries have had a great season so far, with 11 wins, 16 draws and just seven defeats in the league. They have drawn more games than anyone else in the league, and are unbeaten in their last 15 matches in all competitions.
Crystal Palace still have a chance of finishing in the top half, as they’re five points behind with five games remaining. In the same breathe, they’re only nine points ahead of Spurs who occupy the highest spot in the relegation zone, so they’ll be keen to pick up points and confirm safety.
The Tips
Bournemouth to win — 8/13
I think the Cherries will win this one at home fairly comfortably. With zero defeats in 15, they’re amidst an incredible run of form, and I think they’ll take the three points at home. Of those last 15, they have won six and drawn nine, with two wins at home over Liverpool and Spurs. Palace have won five of their last 10 in all competitions, but have won only four of their last 10 in the league. It feels like Bournemouth have slightly more to play for, and in front of their home crowd, I think they’ll be up for it on Sunday and come away with the victory.
ALTERNATIVE BET — Bournemouth or draw @ 2/11
This selection reduces the odds of this bet builder to 17/2, but considering it has happened in Bournemouth’s last 15, it’s a pretty safe bet. With nine draws in that time, I won’t be surprised if this one ends all square.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP — Both teams to score @ 3/4
Given we’re at the business end of the season, I think both teams to score is a great shout here. Bournemouth have a goal difference of zero, having scored and conceded 52 goals in their 34 league matches this season. In their last 10, both teams have scored on seven occasions. For Palace, they’ve bagged 36 league goals and conceded 39. In their last 10, both teams have scored six times. It was a high scoring 3-3 draw between these two when they last met – with the six goal thriller at Selhurst Park back in October, in which Palace scored a 97th minute penalty to equalise. I think we will see more goals this weekend, and both teams to score is a good shout.
Evanilson over 0.5 shots on target — 12/25
I think Bournemouth centre forward Evanilson will have one or more shots on target here. At home, I expect them to dominate possession and create chances, so the striker should have some opportunities coming his way. He has only bagged six league goals this season in 32 appearances, but has had a total of 65 shots, with 24 on target. That gives him an average well above 0.5 per game. I think there’s a good chance he will have at least one shot on target this weekend.
Jefferson Lerma to be booked — 9/4
Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma is partial to a booking, and I certainly won’t be surprised to see him enter the referees notepad this weekend. The Colombian midfielder has picked up six bookings this season, all of which have come in his 26 Premier League appearances. Playing deep, he’s excellent at breaking up play, but he will be coming up against some tricky customers this weekend such as Ryan Christie, who draws an average of just under one foul per game. Lerma averages well over 0.5 fouls per game, and I think there’s a great chance of him collecting his seventh card of the season here.
Combined Bet Builder Odds — 12/1
Pulling the four selections together gives a 12/1 bet builder. £10 returns £130. £5 returns £65.
The bet works because the four selections are correlated in the same direction:
- Bournemouth dominating possession at home (anchor) → Evanilson getting chances → shot on target
- Open, end-to-end fixture between two top-half sides → goals at both ends → both teams to score
- Bournemouth on the front foot → Palace forced to break up play → Lerma making tactical fouls → booking
The bet builder format works particularly well when selections support each other rather than fighting for the same ball — and these four are reading from the same script. Bournemouth’s home form sets the structural backdrop, with both teams’ scoring patterns and Lerma’s disciplinary record building on that foundation.
