Everton betting tips

Our 90/1 Everton vs Liverpool bet builder tip for Sunday’s Merseyside Derby. Kick-off is at 2pm BST at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, live on Sky Sports from 1pm.

This is the first-ever Merseyside Derby at the Hill Dickinson Stadium — and the stakes could not be higher. Everton are eighth and fighting for European football. Liverpool arrive having been dumped out of the Champions League 4-0 on aggregate by PSG on Tuesday, with Hugo Ekitike out for the season with an Achilles injury and Alisson Becker also missing. Our tipster has found a 90/1 bet builder combining Everton to win, both teams to score, Idrissa Gueye to be booked, and Dominik Szoboszlai to be booked.

It’s the Merseyside Derby this Sunday as Everton welcome city rivals Liverpool to the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Everton are eighth in the league, five points behind Liverpool in fifth.

The Toffees are having a reasonable season, but will be keen to close it on a high. As we move through the business end of the season, they’ll be desperate to get one over on their rivals and draw closer to them in the table.

Liverpool are fifth in the league, four points ahead of Chelsea in sixth, and three behind third placed Aston Villa. They’ve won 15 of their 32 league matches so far this season.

Best Bet Builder Tip – Everton to Win (43/20)

I fancy Everton to win this derby fixture on Sunday at home. They have won three of their last five Premier League matches, drawing one and losing the other. The game they did lose was against league leaders Arsenal, 2-0 at The Emirates. Everton have won their last two home matches, and I fancy them to win again this Sunday. Liverpool have won only three of their last 10 matches in all competitions, including four defeats in their last five. I think Everton are great odds to win this weekend.

Both Teams to Score (7/10)

With this being a derby fixture, I expect it to be all go from the first whistle, and I think both teams will score. Liverpool have scored in six of their last 10 matches in all competitions, conceding in eight of them. Everton have scored in eight of their last 10, conceding in eight of them. Both teams have scored in two of the last three fixtures between these two, and I think there’s a good chance that will happen again this Sunday.

Idrissa Gueye to be Booked (13/5)

Idrissa Gueye is the first of two players I’m backing to be carded here. The Everton midfielder has picked up three cards this season – all in the Premier League – with two yellows and one red card. In his 23 league appearances, the 36-year-old has made 19 fouls, an average not far shy of one foul per game. This one will be a battle, and when he’s in the middle of the park, he never shies away from a challenge. I think 13/5 is great odds for him to pick up his fourth booking of the season this weekend.

Dominik Szoboszlai to be Booked (7/2)

The second player I think is good odds for a card is another midfielder, this time in Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian has been an ever-present for the Reds this season, making 47 appearances in all competitions, including 30 in the Premier League. Overall, he has picked up 11 cards this season, with nine in the Premier League – eight yellows and one red. In his 30 league appearances, he has made 30 fouls, an average of exactly one per game. 7/2 is great odds for him to be booked in the Merseyside Derby.

Alternative Bet – Dominik Szoboszlai to Make One or More Fouls @ 1/3

It reduces the odds a lot, but I think Dominik Szoboszlai to make one or more fouls is a dead cert. Odds of 1/3 reduces the odds of this bet builder to 25/1 with bet365.
