I think Newcastle will put up a good fight, but I think they’ll lose this one.

I did say Newcastle would put up a good fight, and I expect them to get on the scoresheet alongside Barca here. These two have met six times before, and both teams have scored on four occasions. In recent times, in one match last year and that game last week, both teams have scored on both occasions. At 10/21 this is almost even money, but the statistical case is compelling. I think the 37-year-old is good odds to have a couple of shots on target here, as I expect his side to create a good amount of chances.

Lewandowski is averaging more than one shot on target per league game this season, and with Barcelona playing at home in a tie they are expected to control, he will see plenty of the ball in dangerous areas. Against a Newcastle side that will need to attack at some point to stay in the tie, the space behind should create exactly the opportunities he thrives in.
