Every game from now is an absolute cracker, and we’re being served up another treat here as Spain take on Belgium in the quarter-final. Spain have won four of their five games so far, as have Belgium. Spain drew one in their group, while Belgium had two draws.
Spain are very solid at the back, and are yet to concede a goal at this World Cup. They topped their group before progressing past Austria and Portugal in the knockout stages.
Belgium won their group by one goal and were level on points with second-placed Egypt. They went on to defeat Senegal 3-2 before hammering the USA 4-1 in the last round.
Kick-off is 8pm UK on Friday 10 July at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, live on ITV1 and ITVX.

Spain to Win @ 8/13
Spain have been excellent so far, following that 0-0 draw with Cape Verde at the start of the group stages. They narrowly overcame a difficult Portugal side in the last round, with a late goal giving them a 1-0 victory over Roberto Martínez’s side. Belgium come into this off the back of a solid 4-1 victory over hosts USA, but I don’t think they’ll have enough to get the better of Spain here. Belgium have been notorious under achievers over the years, and I think it’ll be a similar story for them here, and I think they’ll go out on Friday.
Under 2.5 Goals @ 1/1
I think under 2.5 goals is the best selection on this bet builder tip. Spain haven’t conceded a single goal yet, scoring more than three in two of their five games. I think Belgium will set up fairly conservatively here to try and keep Spain out, and I think it’ll work to an extent, and I expect a low-scoring victory for the Spaniards. There have been under 2.5 goals in three of Spain’s five matches, and under 2.5 in two out of five of Belgium’s matches. I think we will have a repeat of the last round for Spain, and they’ll progress in a low-scoring game.
Mikel Oyarzabal Over 1.5 Shots on Target @ 29/20
Mikel Oyarzabal has really impressed me at this World Cup. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Real Sociedad man is on the radar of some so-called bigger clubs, following his solid performances on the world stage. He has done well for Spain consistently over the years, and that has continued at this World Cup. He has scored four and assisted one in his five appearances at this competition so far, with a total of 19 shots with nine on target, an average of just under two shots on target per game. I think he’s good odds to have a couple of shots on target in this one.
Pedro Porro Over 0.5 Fouls @ 1/3
Pedro Porro has proved over the years that he has an aggressive side to his game, and I think he’s decent odds to have one or more fouls here at 1/3. He has made a total of three fouls in three appearances so far at the World Cup, an average of one per game. In his 34 appearances in the Prem for Spurs last season, the right-back made 32 fouls, an average just shy of one foul per game. I think he will make at least one foul here against Belgium.
Alternative Bet — Mikel Oyarzabal to Score at 13/10
Taking Oyarzabal to score instead of having more than 1.5 shots on target reduces the overall odds of this bet builder to 28/1 with bet365. With four to his name already, he will be keen to add to his tally, and I think he has a great chance of scoring another goal.
